A diamond drill bit is designed like a crown—it has a hollow center filled with wax. During drilling, the wax begins to melt due to the rising temperature, thereby lubricating and cooling the drill bit. When the wax runs out, it’s a good idea to refill it—simply using a candle.
When drilling, it is necessary to apply appropriate pressure to the drill bit—excessive pressure can cause the diamond drill bit to overheat and thus be damaged.
